The Great Outdoors

Going to the beach, camping outdoors, climbing trees, going for hikes, even walking around the neighborhood – there are countless ways to enjoy the great outdoors. Here are some of our faves:

Going to the beach

If you’re lucky enough to live by a beach, you already know how fun it is! Water activities such as swimming, water-skiing, snorkeling, surfing and watercraft riding are just a few of the fun things you can do when you live near the water. Even just staying on the beach is fun — build sandcastles, bury your legs or just relax and enjoy the sights and sounds.

Tip: Don’t forget your sunscreen! Kids of all backgrounds (that means of every skin color) need to wear sunscreen because the sun is so strong. Play it safe!

Camping

Some families use tents, other families use RV’s (recreational vehicles) or trailers. No matter how you slice it, camping is fun! Depending on where you camp, you may be able to go hiking, bile riding, canoeing and even enjoy some wildlife sighting.

Every kid loves campfires, and roasting marshmallows has become a tradition for many families who enjoy camping.

Tip: Bring along some fun games and activities just in case you need something to do, for example if it rains or you meet some new friends.
